Working out the amount per spray
The pump meters volume, not mass. The amount of any active ingredient in a single spray therefore depends entirely on the concentration of the liquid you fill it with, so we cannot state a figure in micrograms. To calculate your own:
mcg per spray = (total mg in the bottle / total mL in the bottle) x 100
With a small fill, allow for priming. The first few actuations fill the dip tube rather than dispensing, and a small amount always remains below the tube intake, so the usable number of sprays is lower than the arithmetic suggests.
This is a general-purpose refillable bottle, not a certified metered-dose medical device. Each full pump is consistent, but the delivered dose is not validated to pharmaceutical tolerances. If you need an accurately verified dose per spray, speak to your pharmacist or healthcare professional about a preparation supplied in a device tested for that purpose.
