Product Details
A compact benchtop sharps container for the bathroom, bedside, or fridge top. The swing-top lid drops needles in single-handed and seals to a final locked position when full.
- 1.8 L capacity - around 100-150 used insulin syringes; typically 2-4 months of waste for a daily injector
- Square footprint - sits flat on any shelf or benchtop without rolling
- Fully compliant with AS 23907:2023 - the current Australian Standard for sharps containers (which supersedes the legacy AS 4031) - plus the international UN 3291 and ISO 23907-1:2019 standards
- One-handed swing-top lid - drop sharps in without touching the closure
- Single-action final lock - audible click when the lid is sealed for disposal
- Recycled polymer body - made from post-industrial recycled plastic
- Pre-printed biohazard label - signage included
Sizing tip
If you inject daily and would rather not handle disposal more than once or twice a year, the 5 L or 7 L will go further. The 1.8 L is the sweet spot for weekly injectors or anyone who would rather keep the container small and out of sight.
How to dispose of a full container
Once locked, the container can be taken to a council needle-exchange point or a participating community pharmacy. See our Australian sharps disposal guide, or browse our injection guides for syringe and disposal basics.
What it pairs with
- Insulin syringes 1 mL and 0.5 mL
- 10 mL draw syringes for reconstitution workflows
- Part of our Injection Supplies collection
